Welcome to the shop-related FAQ. For event-related frequent questions, please visit Bear Camp FAQ or Bear Week FAQ.

Are online payments secure?

Our whole site is encryted, as your brower will tell you (see the padlock icon next to our address?) Thanks to this, your credit card data is securedly managed by the most reputable payment gateways in the World: PayPal and Stripe. Your credit card data is never stored on their servers, unless you specifically request that. If you need an extra security layer, you can open a PayPal personal account and checkout from their page.

What will I see at my credit card statement?

Every transaction will appear as “BEAR CARNIVAL”. If this may be a problem, we suggest to get your ticket at the door and pay in cash.

Can I get a refund?

Because of space limitations and low prices of our social activities, all sales must be considered final. Refunds will only be issued exceptionally, for example if the activity couldn’t take place because of an official alert or force majeure. If this worries you, we suggest that you get an inexpensive travel insurance covering the services you booked but couldn’t enjoy because of an accident, disease, delay or any other reason. Another possibility is selling and forwarding the tickets you’ll not use to any other visitor.

Tickets and events

How does the ticketing system work?

After purchasing your ticket, you will receive an e-mail with a QR code. Our doormen will scan that code at the entrance of the event your booked for. Just show it on paper or screen, and you’re in. If you loose your ticket, we will have a backup list with names and surnames, but your entry may be delayed.

Can I get a ticket for a sold out event?

Just look for the sold out event and click on “join waitlist”. You will be instantly notified by e-mail if more seats are available. This has happened several times before (especially with our popular island tours), if we see an exceptional demand.

Can I order a special dish on a food event?

If you are allergic or vegetarian/vegan, please specify your condition on the notes field of your order. We will do our best to satisfy your needs. However, cruises have a set menu with salad and chicken, because of the obvious limitations of a sailing boat, but you can bring your own food if necessary.

Extra items

How will you deliver my T-shirt?

You can collect yours at Meet & Greet event, at any pool party, or you can request free hotel delivery in Maspalomas.

What are the donations exactly?

This year’s partner charity is ELOMAR, a local food bank constantly raising money to buy food for the underprivileged families in Gran Canaria. We have the backup of several gay businesses in Maspalomas, and Bear Carnival will also give a hand this year. We will be collecting money for their volunteers and organizers by mean of a special fundraising event (“Sell-A-Kiss” pool party at Basement on Friday April 5th), and also our online shop donation page. 100% of the raised money will be donated to Elomar, and we will publish the proofs of donation on our Facebook short after the bear week.
